Who are we for?
The Pro-Choice Union is for the person who wants to be consulted on matters before a Union position has been formed. For someone who wants to be heard and wants a Union to fight for what is most important to them. Pro-Choice Union members want more choice in whom they choose to represent them.
They believe the current Unions have lost their true purpose – their members. The Unions are too political and just another cog in the political machine. They want a Union that isn’t politically motivated or affiliated.
Pro-Choice Union has been formed to amplify the voice of its members and advocate their best workplace outcomes. A Union that listens to its members, and realises it is their voice. A Union that acts in the current and future best interests of those members.
We have won our members the right to choose their vaccination status, and we have achieved our goal of allowing members to maintain their employment without interference in their personal medical decisions as they should have had via sovereign inherent rights in the first place.
We are in a place of balance, reflection and are humbled that people have requested us to form this Union to protect their rights – now and into the future.
It commends everything the COGC Pro-Choice Alliance was, and achieved that we now possess the belief, trust and commitment of the members even though the threat has currently passed.
The PCU is for the brave, the bold and those who want a fair go.
The PCU is for those who want genuine engagement and real representation.
The PCU is for families and the workers that strive to support these families.
